Dear Pastor Dave,

Greetings of grace and peace!

I urge for your prayers as my only elder brother Pastor Rev. S. P. Limma has been in prison for over 19 months. It has been very difficult time but the Lord did use the situation to spread His Word. There was violent riots against believers and at present the persecution has halted. And the ministry of the Gospel seem to gear up. Kindly pray for the early release of our Pastor as well as the five mission vehicles that were seized. Thank you so much.

Serving with you,
Rev. Anargalam Limma (Anar)

World Mag has an interesting article that springboards off of this debate. In a nutshell, nothing really came of this communication with school children. However, there was a secret conference call between National Endowment for Arts and the White House and leading artisans. The conference call openly asked the arts community to take the lead on changing opinion regarding health care, etc.
A few days later, Rock the Vote came up with a poster contest promoting national health care.

Men are born again by the water and the spirit. I know that you are Christians because our gospel came to you in the power of the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction.

Yes - that line really touches me: By the knowledge of the gospel we are made children of God.

There is some type of Holy Spirit work through the gospel that initiates and creates life where only spiritual deadness and God-hating exists. From the born again spirit flows faith, love, joy, repentence.

Great story! We went to see Phil a few years back at a low-key concert in a church, if I remember right. Of course, I bought a bunch more of his CDs that night. I still can't believe that you gave Phil a ride to his hotel. Fun times!

Good observation - the gospel is the same for everybody. I just like to use that word "differentiated" every now and again!
